A new black owned publishing company has been launched to help people of color tell their story.
KoolEmpire Publishing, a new black owned publishing company from the diverse city of Oakland, California, is now offering publishing opportunities.
While in a diverse city like Oakland, where black and other ethnic voices are in the majority, less than 8% of published authors are people of color.
That’s why KoolEmpire wants to launch new, fresh literary voices, voices who can tell diverse, unique, authentic and complex stories.
A spokesperson for the publishing house said, “KoolEmpire Publishing is a company founded under the desire to break free from the chains of struggle.”
