The Peak Lookout by Zanghellini & Holt
The celebrated Hong Kong establishment is housed within a historic 19th century Grade II building at 121 Peak Road, The Peak, Hong Kong.
The site of the building has been in use since 1888 and was first used as a workshop and resting post for the engineers that worked on the tram line.
It later went on to be used as a local police station during WWII.
After the war in 1947, the building was then turned into a cafe called the Old Peak Cafe, which remained until ZHA’s refurbishment in 2001.
