Imagine seeing, up close a real plane that was flown way back in 1929!
The Tri-Motor Heritage Foundation is rebuilding and restoring a flying 1929 Ford Tri-Motor airplane in Ohio.
The ongoing project joins the history of the Tri-Motor plane with the local history of the Lake Erie Islands.
Built in 1929, the 5-AT-B Ford Tri-Motor plane is being restored by volunteers at Liberty Aviation Museum.
The Tri-Motor plane was central to providing residents in the Lake Erie Islands region with a means of travel.
